stop autostart in a dvd player

Post by brucefl »

VS10 Is there a way to stop a DVD from starting up when it is inserted? Is this a function of the player or is there a setting when burning a DVD. In some projects I do, I would like to insert the dvd, then after it is loaded to push the play button, without having to put a menu?
thanks Bruce

I don't know of any DVD player that doesn't start playing automatically.

I don't know if this can be done in Video Studio (I use DVD Workshop for DVD authoring), but I assume it can be done...

Make a plain black-screen menu with a black (or hidden) play button. Then, the vewier won't know the menu is playing.

Hi

Just a thought¡K..
You could make a blank menu
Providing you have the one video file.

Make an image---- Jpeg in black. Use this for the background image.

Right click on the objects in the screen to ¡¥hide¡¦
Disable all menu options. Audio/motion menu etc

The dvd will load to a blank black screen

Pressing play on the remote should start the video
