I'm using divx avi's to make a small compilation disc. Everything goes perfect and the video looks good save one thing: It's cropped on all sides. I'd say about roughly an inch on each side, just enough to be a problem. I can change the output to 16:9 wide, but then of course it looks stretched. The odd thing is that on my PC dvd player it looks perfect, yet on a regular tv dvd player it does this. Maybe it's due to being an older dvd player? I'm at a loss here, any suggestions?
edit: btw using moviefactory 6 and windows vista.
Video orientation on finished DVD
This is called "overscan" and it is normal.
TVs are adjusted for overscan in order to hide "analog" errors & variations. All titles and important information are normally kept inside the "save area", so that you don't miss anything important.
