Studio10 -Preview Audio Problem (no sound)

hello everyone, i've not been on here FOR AGES!


i've just got a new pc (just for editing), i've installed videostudio 10 (that i used to use on my old systems with no problems)
everything is fine,except!.....if i preview in the timeline or 'project playback' i get NO sound! (but the video plays fine)

when i save the video, the sound is there! but it doesn't make editing very easy being unable to preview what i've just done!


this new computer is running on vista....does this affect anything?

With VS10, there is a "Vista Patch", be sure this is installed and see if that corrects the problem.

any idea how to fix this!?
