reinstall Movie Factory 4 ?

Post by pierrenev »

Hi,
I am working with Movie Factory 4, on a Pentium IV, XPhome, computer with 1GB of memory.
I've submitted a problem to this forum and to the support dept. No answer at all, yet.
All I want to do is remove the shadow in my titles text, in the main menu of my project. That white shadow makes the text almost unreadable in small size (24 and less).
The strange thing is that in the submenus (chapters), that shadow changes from white to black (which makes it more readable).
Should I reinstall MF4 and will I lose all my work on this project, if I do?
Pierre.

May I know what menu template you are dealing with? For example: 06_OneS01_W. Why don¡¦t you try to use other menu templates that don¡¦t have shadows on the title? The only customizable from these menu templates are font settings, navigation buttons, layout of your thumbnails, background music and background image/video.

Hi,

Post by pierrenev »

Thanks for your help.
I reinstalled MF4 and everything seems to work fine, now.
In the mean time, I bought MF6 (because of that font problem) and in order to have a wider choices of templates and options.
As you can see on my other topic, I now have other problems. It seems that my MF6 version is uncomplete. I only have a few templates and I had to copy the ones from my MF4 folders, in order to get a suffcient choice for my project.
It seems that Corel gave me the link to a TBYB file, in stead of the link to the full upgrade that I paid for ($49.95).
Since Sunday, I was never able to get a reply to my support request to Corel to correct the situation.
They still have'nt answered to my previous support request made about the MF4 font problem.
Anyway, Thanks a lot for trying to help me.
Just to let you know, I had the same problem, with all the templates that I tried to use in MF4. Again, it is the "accidental"reinstall of my MF4, seems to have solve the problem.
I only reinstalled my MF4, because I wanted to make sure that I had all the templates in my folders, in order to copy them into MF6.
Pierre.
