Failed to build capture graph

Post by steve584 »

Hi

I'm using VideoStudio 9 and trying to capture from a Sony IP-55E which uses MicroMv format. I've installed Sony's Movieshaker and can capture from there but not from VS 9. I just get error messages related to a failure to build a capture graph.

I've tried starting the camera after starting VS 9 and while it does know that it's there it reports that it's 'Unable to switch to capture mode, Check if your Video Capture driver is working properly. Failed to build preview graph' [15001:33:1] [15023:4:2]

Any attempt to capture then results in 'Failed to build capture graph'.

Any ideas?

Have you checked in Tools > Change Capture Plug-in to make sure the Micro MV one has been selected? I seem to recall that VS9 still had it. But if not, that was because even Sony stopped supporting what was its own format around then...

Yes I did that. In fact when I started the camera after VS 9 it automatically did it.
VS 9 does control my camera (start/stop/ffw etc.) but no preview or capture.
