Hello all, I have Ulead Videostudio 11 (and I love the program) but I would like to know if using Ulead I would be able to create something like this:
Here is a Youtube video clip, I am only concerned with the first 10 seconds or so (the intro) where the "pictures" of videos fly onto the screen by moving in or twirling etc.:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GjxUQqeSP0Q
Would it be possible to do something like that using my Videostudio 11 program? The reason for this is that I am trying to recreate the intro using household shots and can not find a way to move the videos (which are on separate tracks) to fall and twirl like the photographs in the intro.
I have been trying to figure this out for a while, but have not been able to. So I thought to myself: "ah! Why not the Ulead forums?"
Hopefully some of you guys would be able to help me.
Help with some editing please

Welcome to the forums,
First, I've moved your post to the VideoStudio Forum, since your question is about using VideoStudio, not just a general question about video.
Now, in regards to your question, yes that can be done in VS11+. On the Attribute Panel for your video clips placed in the overlay tracks, you should see a Direction/Style section with Enter and Exit boxes. These have a bunch of arrows. The arrows are the directions you want your clip to enter and exit the screen.
Beneath that you see 4 graduated bars icons, 2 with curved arrows. The curved arrow icons are for Rotation of the clips. Again 1 for entering, and 1 for exiting. The other 2 are for fading in / out.
Now couple the above with the Pause/Duration control, beneath the preview window, and you will be able to replicate that effect.

Never mind... I think I have it figured out.. just going to try to work on getting the background video to that redness etc.
Regardless, thank you very much
Oh, another thing. I'm not sure, I used to have Ulead Videostudio 10, and there might have been an option to change the template of the video coming in on the separate tracks... as in... is there an option for when the videos that come in, twirl etc. to be shaped like photographs with fringes on the outside?

To get the windows to fly in, not just rotate, use the pan and zoom filter, as well.
EDIT:
Actually, this doesn't work. This filter only acts on the "contents" of the video, not the "window" of the video.
This would require a "moving path" on the window itself. Something that VS does not support. (MSP does though... ahem)

You CAN add stuff like that, primarily called masks. Masks are basically a BMP file, usually a black and white image, with the shape you draw.anttyx wrote:Thats alright Amigo.
What about photograph fringes/templates for the images flying in, is that possible?
I'd look through the forums area at the tutorials, and, I am sure there is more info on that.
