Preview range

Hello everyone :)

I use VS10+ and my problem is that i don't know how to set the preview range. Is see this red beam at the timeline and i think this is the preview range but i don't know how to change it. Can u plz help me or tell me another way to preview the video? I use "Share-->Project Playback--->Preview range--Accept"

At either end of the red line, there should be little handles sitting over the ruler. If you pull these in either direction, it will changed the red line -- in other words the preview range. If you pull them to either end of the timeline, the red line should disappear.

thats the problem. there isnt a sitting at the end of the beam, i can't drag the beam like all the other stuff at the timeline. it seems that the red beam is inviolable :(

Sorry. I was wrong. I was working from memory as I do not have Video Studio on this computer I am currently using. However, I have now turned on a computer with various versions of Video Studio.

The jog handles I was referring to are actually the ones under the preview screen, not in the ruler above the timeline. They are little black triangles on their side. Just pull them to each end of black progress bar under the preview screen, and the red line disappears. This is in Project view.

Or you can simply press the End button until the cursor moves to the end of your movie, then click the Mark Out button.
