This kind of problem us usually caused by a bad video file. It can be hard to tell, because a "bad" audio/video file will often play back OK, but cause trouble when you try to edit it, convert it, or make a DVD from it. (The various highly-compressed the file formats cause the most trouble.)

What format are your video files? Where did they come from? If you are using any still images or audio files, we need to know about those too. The Read This First post at the top of the forum tells you what we need to know in order to help you.

 Grrrrr! MPEG files!
If This is a DV camcorder (that uses MiniDV tapes) you are in luck!

- Capture to AVI/DV via Firewire. This will transfer and re-package the DV data without altering or compressing it. (AVI/DV files are 13GB per hour.)

- Do all of your editing in AVI/DV format.

- Let Movie Factory will automatically do the MPEG-2 compression (required for DVD) when it creates the DVD.
