I want to transfer videos from the video recorder to my PC.
I already made this with windows XP and the device "Digital Video Maker" from AVERMEDIA.This worked very well
Now I have switched to Vista and AVERMEDIA doesn't upgrade the device to Vista.
Now I have bought a device "DVD Maker USB2.0" from KWORLD, sold by ALTOEDGE.
The driver has generated an "USB 2860 Device" in "Sound, Video an Gam Controllers"
Is there somebody who knows something about this device?
Video Studio 11 doesn't find the driver or doesn't recognize it!
A software of ALTOEDGE shows the driver. Is it possible that they use another path? I myself cannot find the driver on the PC, but I don't know th exact name.
Or can be the reason that I use a test version of video studio, because I don't like to buy a product without testing
Video Capture from Video Recorder

Apprently, VS11 cannot capture analog video at all! See this post.
So, you need to use the capture software that came with your capture hardware. It's best to do that anyway. In general you can't count on "random" capture-hardware working with "random" capture-software.

Once you have a digital audio/video file on your hard drive, you can use that video editing and DVD authoring software of your choice. However, some of us have had trouble when editing MPEGs. I believe your Kworld device is MPEG only (most USB devices are MPEG). So, be sure to thoroughly try-out Video Studio with your particular files before buying.I use a test version of video studio, because I don't like to buy a product without testing.
