VS11 Problem importing DVD

When I first installed VS11 the program froze when I imported DVD's.
I found a fix by replacing a faulty file that comes with the VS11 program.
I have just had to reinstall VS11 as part of a total XP reinstallation and have lost the details of the faulty file.

Can anyone enlighten me please
