Can't get rid of this gross white border. Please HELP!!!

On the left is my animation in GIF Animator, and on the right is what it looks like when displayed on my webpage. How can I get rid of this?

And is there a way to bypass compression completely? That way I could have the webpage background in the gif. But yeah I'd rather just be able to keep it compressed and get rid of the white border.

Which program did you use to generate the text, PI? What you see there is called "jaggies" and is quite common with gif files created on a transparent or white background.

I used Photoshop for the text. Thank you so much for that link! I'll definitely give that tutorial a try.
