Can you tell us your source files, the ones you started with, what were tehy?

Do you need to have 99 clips? This is the maximim dvd allows.

How long is the movie in time?

How large is the movie in GB?

What settings did you use in movie factory to make the dvd?

Have you checked to see if the disc you are using is compatible with your dvd player?

Can you make a dvd folder on your computer and watch the movie using your computer dvd playing software to check it is all ok there?

By the source files you mean which format the files are in before convert? It is mpeg2 Yes i need 99 clips. The movie is around 2 hours i cannot tell exactly. The computer says it is about 5.9 gb. I have not changed settings in the program. How do i check the compability? And how do i make a folder on the harddrive to watch?

You can find out what your dvd player will play by looking in the manual, or by checking out www.videohelp.com/dvdplayers

I'm not sure how to make the dvd folders in Movie Factory, so a check in the help files should sort this.
Or what the default settings are, so unless you can tell me you're going to have to wait for more help on that.

i have tried both dual layer and ordinary dvds same problem i add as many clips that is possible and burns, on a dual layer it is 99,
About DVD TITLES and CHAPTERS :

A DVD can have up to 99 titles. This is true for both single-layer and dual layer. A title is a full-movie, program or individual "clip". Many DVDs have only one title.

You can "splice" (join) several clips together to make a single movie (title). Of course, this is how movies are made... The scenes are shot idividually and then spliced together into one movie. A commercial DVD might have two titles, the main movie and the "The Making Of...".

At the end of a title, a menu can be displayed, or the next title can be played, depending on how the DVD is authored. There will be always be a pause between titles.

Each title can have up to 99 chapters A chapter is really just a marker in the movie (title). You can select a chapter from a menu and start playing that chapter. Or, you can press the >>| and |<< keys on the remote to skip between chapters. The movie/program will continue to play through the remaining chapters until the end of the title. (Professional DVD authoring tools can make a DVD stop at the end of a chapter, but Movie Factory cannot do this.)

Most DVDs will have 10 - 20 chapters per title. One "chapter point" about every 5 minutes is typical. Once, I made a DVD with 99 chapters.
And how do i make a folder on the harddrive to watch?
On the burn screen, check the box that says Create DVD Folders. (You can un-check the box that says Create To Disc if you want to skip the actual disc-burning while you experiment.)
The movie is around 2 hours i cannot tell exactly. The computer says it is about 5.9 gb.
You can fit 2 hours of video on a single-layer DVD. Lower your bitrate to about 4,750 kbps and use Dolby audio. (LPCM audio takes more disc space.) Here's an online Bitrate Calculator.

I suggest you try making a single-layer DVD first. Once you get it working, if the video quality is not satisfactory, you can increase the bitrate and try a dual-layer DVD.
...the biggest problem is after about 70 clips i can not watch anymore the picture starts with grafik problem shaking strange sounds and then the disc stops... It is mpeg2...
MPEGs can sometimes cause trouble, especially if you edit them. Sometimes a "bad" MPEG will play OK, but cause trouble when you try to edit it, convert it, or make a DVD from it. If you have 99 individual MPEG clips, I wouldn't be surprised if one or more of them is corrupted. This could be a difficult problem to solve... Both VideoReDo and Womble include MPEG repair tools that can sometimes repair a corrupt MPEG. Free trial versions are available for both programs.

If you are editing MPEGs, your problems may be solved by editing with Womble or VideoReDo. VideoReDo is a simple "cut & splice" MPEG editor, and Womble is a "full feature" MPEG editor. You create titles by editing. Chapters are added during the DVD authoring step.
