Picture show 4 conversion?
I have been using PictureShow 4 for ages but since upgrading to Vista and Ulead not providing a patch for it to run, I bought a copy of MovieMaker 6 so I could carry on making CD/DVD's of my photos. All working fine but I would really like to be able to load and convert the pictureshow .dps files but there doesn't appear to be any option. All I can load is .dws files. Anyone got any suggestions or am I asking the impossible?

You are suffering what I call the "Comfort Factor" - I remember that this happened to me when I moved up from VideoStudio to MediaStudio. I would tend to stick to the program I felt "comfortable with" almost fearing the awesome alternative program I had invested in.
What you need to do is complete any existing projects with CD & DVD Picture Show. Then when you start your next NEW project use DVD MovieFactory and nothing else. This is the only way to get to grips with it.
This first project may seem to be a struggle because you have now lost your "Comfort Factor" - you are now using something which is new to you, things that you could perhaps do without thinking in CD & DVD Picture show have now got to be worked out.
Stick with it, force yourself to complete the entire project using MovieFactory and nothing else. Once you get to grips with the new program you will not regret it.
Don't throw away CD&DVD PS each program has its own strength and weakness. You will soon discover for yourself that certain projects can be completed more easily with one program rather than the other. Take a look at my signature block below. I don't just collect these programs I use them - all of them.

I like Movie Factory as it's almost the same as PictureShow for what I want. My problem is that I have no choice but to use it as PictureShow will NOT run any more under Vista!! I just wanted to make sure I could recreate my old picture shows if I needed to. That's why I wanted a way to load the dps files into movie factory!!
