Just about to create my forst ever ISO image and......

Post by tonyjer »

Hi Everyone

I have previously been combining 2 separate video files(because of the 4Gb limitation of my OS which is ME) and then burning to TS folder. I have then successfully used DVD shrink to reduce and then burn to DVD. This process is generally effective but there is one minor problem.

The audio and video is slightly, just slightly out of synch. I understand that this is often caused by the Video/audio multiplexing and this process needs to occur whether you burn to to disk or TS folder. I also underatand that this is sometimes cured by creating an ISO image and then creating the disk from that.

My 2 naive questions are:

1. Can I use DVD shrink with the ISO in the same way as the TS folders?

2. What application(s) do I need to burn from the ISO file?

Many many thanks

1. Yes, DVD Shrink can proess ISO files as well as a VIDEO_TS folder.

2. You can use a third-party tool to burn the ISO file, or you can use the "CD / DVD Image Burner" that should be on the Videostudio submenu on the Start menu.
