Best way to display the show for a large group?

Post by tdew »

Hello,

I have made many picture shows on DVD with this program over the years, but I haven't come up with an affordable way to show them at a large function.

I just did a search for a projector and the cheapest one that will accept either a computer or a DVD input says that it has no speakers. Can speakers be added to a small DVD player or to the computer and will they be audible for a group?

I have to travel by plane for a special birthday party, so am limited in what I can bring with me. If I need to rent a projector - what specifics do I need to look for? Which companies would be likely to rent a projector? I have seen some of the rates geared toward business conferences and such - that's what got me to thinking about a possible purchase...

Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks.

A couple of years ago my wife bought me a portable DVD Player - bit like one of these:

I had no problems attaching computer speakers to it - this sort of thing

The External Speakers have their own power source - so they plug into the mains independently of the Portable DVD Player. However I think that a laptop is more practical than a portable DVD player.

For presentations You need to do a search for Tablet PC's

Thanks, that's a good thought, but it would be difficult for 25 people to view it.

There's a projector sold for kids called Zoom or something like that, but the reviews of it are terrible. I wonder if those are just very picky people or if the quality is really awful?
