Removal of used files

Removal of used files
Having finished my first edited video on VS 11 Plus, I would like to remove all the the accumulation of files, etc. before I begin again. What is the most efficient, complete way to do this--even if it involves re-installing the program?
Thanks

You don't have reinstall the whole software. If you know the location of the file you can use a 3rd party utility that can permanently delete all the files that you want to erase.

These are freeware but I asure you that NO virus or adwares will be installed to your PC.

If you also need to remove the thumbnails from the 'libraries' (within VideoStu8dio) you can do that by selecting each one and then press the DELETE key. You can also select multiple thumbnails by holding down the SHIFT key and selecting the first thumbnail then select the last thumbnail and all thumbnails between will be selected then press the DELETE key.
While removing (deleting) thumbnails you can also delete the associated files at the same time by holding down the CTRL key as you press the DELETE key.
Using these methods you can quickly clean up unwanted files.
Remember that if you delete files manually which have associated thumbnails in libraries the thumbnails. If you then select these you will be warned that the original file does not exist.

Thank you, everyone. I am not sure I can distinguish SOURCE FILES from files that are the program itself. I'm afraid of accidentally removing files that are necessary for operation of VS 11 on my next project.
I'm also afraid of FAILING to remove files that should be removed.
My VS11Plus program was installed on my C drive, and my WORK was gathered in my E drive. However, before I was finished, my E drive filled up, and I started over and instructed the program to gather my finished work in the C drive. Therefore, I have work in the C drive that needs removing.
How do I (1) find all the possible locations, and (2) distinguish between files I should be removing and files I should not be removing?
Thanks in advance. Paul85

You have instructed VS, via the Capture tab, as to where the working folder is located.
Also, look in your system via Windows Explorer. Your captured clips could be .avi or .mpg files, depending on your capture method. Your sound files should be .wav or .mp3, your stills .bmp or .jpg, depending on your settings.

Check what WORKING FOLDER you have set in PREFERENCES (should be under the FILE tab in VS).
Also as explained before any clips (video, still and audio) that you may have created along the way will have thumbnails in each 'library'. These thumbnails will have an associated file which can be deleted when you delet the thumbnail.
