Is Ulead VideoStudio 11 Plus capable to do:

Post by forever_talking_520 »

1) split-screen imaging
2) link videos (for example, like a DVD menu in the middle of a project)
If so, how?
Thank you!

1) Split screen: Yes VS11 can do this. Easily by placing both clips on different overlay tracks. E.g. Clip 1 on overlay track 1 (adjust clip to one side of screen). and Clip 2 on overlay track 2

2) I think you mean chapters...yes...when creating a DVD you can creat chapters on the menu that take you to a particular spot on the dvd.

You can find several excellent Video Tutorials HERE

I'm not sure I understand what you're actually wanting to achieve with "linking videos". However for DVD menus and split-screen, there are some great tutorials found in the above link.

1. Yes, VS can do that, although it has no direct button or command to split a screen. You can manually do that by separating the clips at the overlays and arranging them the way you want it to look. (works best on a widescreen)

2. VS can add cues and chapters if that's what you mean. You can use MovieFactory if you want to add a menu to your clip.
