Adding an extra folder

Post by skier-hughes »

I know how to burn a dvd with an extra folder from the burn project to disc module, but is it possible to burn with an extra folder if you make an ISO or DVD folders.

I'm going to experiment now, as my latest project has an extra folder and with my burning problems, I've been making DVD folders on my ext drive and then using my office pc to burn these using Movie Factory.

After creating a DVD on the HD using the "DVD Folder option", you burn it to disc using nero / whatever. As you are now merely creating a "data" disc, you simply drag the extra folder to the burn project - which will now have three folders in the root directory.
The DWS2 "ISO option" likewise disables the auto adding of the extra folder.

I don't have any data burning software I can use on this pc.

I've found saving as an ISO includes the extra folder, then I can use the iso burning option to burn all of it to disc.

You have to be careful burning a "Data" disc -- because you could end up burning the files (within the VIDEO_TS Folder) in the wrong sequence for DVD-VIDEO. If your burning software offers a "DVD-VIDEO" mode for burning, I would strongly recommend using that over "DVD DATA" mode...
