No Disk-Burning with VideoStudioSE???

Post by Chorge »

Hi!
I just purchased a Samsung Cam, and VideoStudio SE was included. What I miss, is the button to burn a CD or DVD... Is it missing in this version??

Thanks!

Welcome to the forums,

Some SE versions do not have the burn module. Most of those, however are labeled as VE, or Video Edition.

What version of VS do you have, 8,9,10? Does it permit you to create an DVD compliant MPEG2 video file? This would be found in the Share Step. If so then you could create your video file, and use another DVD authoring program to burn your DVD.

One caveat, is that with the free (VE or SE) versions, they will not be able to use Dolby Digital audio. Dolby charges a fee, and I don't think that Ulead is going to give that one away..

On the inner ring of my CD, I can see, that it should be v10.0...
I tried, what you suggested - unfortunatly, Studio v8.0 does not bring the sound of the file to the DVD... :(

What audio codec, I'll bet it is Dolby. With VS8, we had to purchase an AC3 (Dolby) plug-in. I think it cost around $45 back then. Since VS9 full versions natively support Dolby.
