I cut piece of a video and when I try to save trimmed video, it says, that its unable to access audio codec driver. What can I do with it?

info was added
the video size I'm trying to work with is 701 MB, the file format is AVI, it does no problem to open the actual vid, it does no problem tu cut the piece (original vid has 01:10:48 and the piece I cut has 00:06:53) and then I try to save it as trimmed video, and the mistake above pops up. Now let me tell you, what I need to do with the original vid. I just need to make few videos, that will be long under 10 minutes, which means I will do about 10 cuts in original vid. That's all I can describe. Thanks

The container is AVI, which I'd guess contains a DivX or Xvid file, correct?
With your video clip in the Library or on the Timeline, right-click, select and post back the Properties here.
You have provided some more information, however look at the links I provided. That information is what we really need. Without it, I can guess that your AVI is either uncompressed (not since uncompressed AVI eats up 65 gig per hour of video), DV (probably not, uses 13 gig per hour), now we're getting down to DivX, Xvid, MOV, MPEG4.
Your error seems to be saying that it needs a specific audio codec, that you don't seem to have installed on your system. So we need to determine what audio codec is being used in your video clip.

You also don't say which exact version of Video Studio you are using. If it is before version 10+, or else is a trial or SE limited version, then it does not come with the Dolby codec you need.
You also need to be aware that if you use the decompressor which Clevo has just directed you to, you should at least be able to save your trimmed video. But after that, when you edit it further and go to produce your final DVD, you will not be able to encode out again in the Dolby format. That decompressor only works in one direction (in) and not out... So you will need to choose one of the other audio formats compatible with DVDs. Since you appear to come from Poland, I would say you use PAL and so you can choose either LPCM audio or mpeg layer 2 audio as the output format.

This highlights the need to choose a topic title carefully.jarekhanzelka wrote:seven people saw this topic but none of them replied. Why? is the question so dumb or what? And if it is, does it really matter? I really need to cut the video in those parts and save them! So please, help me!
Perhaps those 7 people thought you were offering them a link to a free audio codec rather than being confronted with a question about a problem with one.
You haven't told us the SOURCE of your DivX avi. I strongly suspect you have downloaded this off the internet.
Sorry if you this sounds like I am telling you off - I am not. Please Read This Before posting wrote:SUBJECT: Please use a subject that describes your exact problem instead of making us guess what's in your post.
You can alter the title by using the [Edit] button on your first post.
The purpose of providing a meaningful title is this.
There are a number of members on the forum who try and help troubleshoot problems - myself included. In the early days of the user forum it was not too difficult to be able to read all of the posts submitted since the last time I (or one of the other troubleshooters) had logged on.
On the Forum Home page at the top right is a link
[view posts since last visit] In the forums early days this would perhaps range between 10-30 posts. Today however the board has grown in popularity and more products are now catered for including the former Intervideo products before the merger with Ulead.
There have been days when I have logged on to find over 70 new posts since my last visit. It is of course impossible to read each and every one of them and so it is necessary to look at the titles to pick out posts where I feel I am able to offer some worthwhile input.
if you are viewing perhaps the VideoStudio forum and a post is entitled
"VideoStudio" - it doesn't really give you a clue, similarly in the PhotoImpact forum a post entitled [PhotoImpact] is equally as meaningless.
Giving a post a suitable title is a means of helping us to help you.
