load from stream error

Post by wookie »

I am using the trial version of videostudio 11 plus. It was working fine until I tried to delete some clips from the library. The program locked up and now when I start the program it gives me a load from stream error on each clip that it tries to load. I think it lost some type of synchronization when the program locked up. Is there a way of keeping it from trying to load the previous clips when thr program first starts up? When it automatically loads it gives me the load from stream error I click ok and it puts a white blank thumbnail with a big x through it and goes to the next clip and does same thing. I think if it wasn't trying to load clips that I had tried to delete from the library (they are still on the hard disk I just tried to delete them from the library) that I could get it to work. Any suggestions except reinstalling it? Do you know if reinstalling would affect the remaining time I have o the trial period. I had ordered the full version but it won't be here for a week or so. My hardware is adequate for the program and it works ok except for the loading error. Trying to relink didn't help. Thanks. The clips I am using are HDV (canon hv20) Thanks for any suggestions

This has been discussed countless times on the forums. Go to Search, and type in load from stream, in the keyword box, select Search for All terms, VideoStudio Forums, Ulead Products. You will see what I mean.

One of those results should help you.

load from stream error

Thanks. I had tried searching for load from stream error before I posted. It was pretty late at night and I neglected to check search for all terms and thus got 69 pages of responses. I didn't see any thing about it in the subjects of the 1st 4 pages so I thought relavant posts would be at the begining of the search. I did a google search later and came up with the method of deleteing the video dat file. That worked. :P
