install additional contents in test version

Post by jomeggs »

hi,
after installing PI 12 test edition, I tried to install the 200 MB additional contents. Unfortunately the installer told me that PI 12 can't be found on my computer. Has anybody a solution for this problem?

Thanks in advance,
jomeggs

Owners of the PhotoImpact 12 full and upgrade download versions can download the following files. If you do not have PhotoImpact 12 installed, you will NOT be able to use these components.

Thank you for your fast reply!

But as I can see, the additional contents should be usable by the test edition too, at least in german editions. At the download site I found the following notes (in german languge... )

Inhalt (upi12_contents_(g).exe)

209.0 MB
For testing I need a full featured edition. Is there a way to download a full featured test edition?

thank you, I'll think about it. I need to see all the frames, stamps, templates and so on.

But I can't understand this practice. Other products I've tested came full featured. Your way seems a little uncomfortable for me. I'm willing to buy the software if it fits for my efforts, it's not a 30 day bumming. In my eyes it would be better to restrict the prints or put a TEST-Edition stamp on it...

Many thanks,

Oh, sorry for that! It wasn't my intension to disgust you! I'm thankful for your helpfulness!

Your answers came so fast and with predefined text blocks, so I supposed, you were someone from Corel (what in my opinion isn't a bad thing...)

So, please accept my apologises (my lousy english too... :D ) and don't be disgusted anymore

I agree I use Macromedia Dreamweaver for web pages but some one told me this was easier and user friendly but from the trial you can't tell a thing. I think I'll just let this one slide!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Who ever told you this doesn't know what he/she is talking about. Correct me if I'm wrong, Dreamweaver is a web site creation tool. right? Would you use that to edit photographs or create digital graphics? I guess not. PI, on the other hand, can be used to create web pages but is not really designed for that purpose. It is very good for creating content to be used on web pages though including editing and manipulating digital images.

Too bad if the TBYB version does not offer you enough "functionality" to test it out. Because it doesn't come with the full content doesn't mean it lacks any important functions.

The German text says exactly the same, it is for TBYB Version that has been upgraded (die ein Upgrade vorgenommen wurde). That means, you have to buy it before you can download the additional contents. That annoys me too. I have PI 10 and would like to know which frames etc are included in PI12 without having to download additional contents. I'm not using internet at home. We don't have a Corel Store with money back guarantee.

PhotoImpact Content for Download

:(
Pardon, really not trying to be a jerk, but, I've been racking my brains on two computers to download content!!

PLEASE>>>IT"S ONLY REASONABLE>>>>>YOU HAVE TO SAY AT THE DOWNLOAD SITE "NOT AVAILABLE FOR TEST VERSION"

And if you can't use templates, what use is a test... and don't quote the buy now and return in thirty days! Not buying til trying!

Lets face it, even the great Paint Shop Pro X2 is fully functional.

I'm not trying to be pushy, just trying to state the obvious, especially after wasting so much time... I just want a good desktop publisher.. i have Paint Shop XI (except for X2!!)..It's the best. (Snapfire USELESS)

Uninstalling Impact now. Thanks for the reality check
