Win DVD8 PLatinum playback problem.

Ok so I finally got it installed (the Laptop shipped with a Vista Home Preminum so no DX ...)

I Sorted the problem of menus vanishing because I went near a drop down section.

But I've still be plagued by a problem I can't see listed anywhere else here: One DVD will play, then I have to restart the machine completely in order to play a different disk... this happens no matter how the second disk is being attempted to play... WinDVD opens, but aside from some whirring with the drive it does nothing. If it autoplays the same thing happens. Also one restart it didn't play one DVD that it had successfully played the previous day at all...

I have a 2.2ghz Core 2 Duo, 1GB RAM and an NVidea Go graphics card that does a marvelous job while DVDs are playing. The only account on the PC is an administrator account, but I ticked the boxes anyway (wouldn't accept my registration details till I did!).

As I say I've not seen this problem mentioned before - has anyone encountered it and have they found a solution? I rather think it's annoying to have to restart my computer every time I want to watch a different film.
