Inlcuding ultra-sound video in project

Post by Ken Berry »

I just received this private email. I have reminded the sender of the rule against sending private messages to people like me on Video Studio related issues.
I am using Video Studio 9. I am putting together a dvd to be shown at my grandson's first birthday party using 200 still photos taken over the past year. I also have on my computer his ultrasound from before he was born which shows him moving and kicking his legs. I was so hoping to make that a part of this dvd. I add it to the time line (using add video), however, when I play it back, the picture, titles, etc play fine, but when it gets to the ultrasound with motion, it seems it gets stuck there for a few seconds and then treats it as a still image.

Am I trying to do something that can't be done, putting a moving image in with still pictures and expecting it to move when I get to that point? How can it be done? I'm really anxious to get this to work, or stop trying if it truly can't be done. Please Help Me.

Thank you, Annette Thorpe
In the first place, we need to know what the properties of the ultra-sound video are. Within Video Studio, right click on the file, and copy ALL of its properties here please. It may be a 'special' format which requires conversion to one which is more readily compatible with DVD specifications before being inserted in Video Studio.

Can you also tell us whether you get the same problem regardless of whether you are previewing your project in Clip mode or Project mode (the words immediately below the preview screen, which you can toggle between).

Yes you can mix still images with video.
Please start by responding to Kens request.
