The pictures are 200 pixels/inch with
Width: 7522 pixels
Height: 9411 pixels
Size: 207,391 KB
I also tried to put them in the overlay track, and it turned out to be worst.

Hi
Wow that¡¦s big, very big.
Are you sure you have got your sizes correct.
Using those figures you are looking at a 43 + Mb camera.
My camera, about 7 Mb produces an image 3504px X 2336px
If they are correct, am not sure if VS could cope with such large files??????????????
Can you double check the sizes???????????????????

I double checked that, that's the correct size. These photos were not taken from digital camera, there are from those big professional camera. So, do you think I need to down size them in order to working in VS.

Forgot to mention that, the original resolution and size of the pictures were
72 pixels/inch
Width: 2708 pixels
Height: 3388 pixels
Size: 26,879 KB
I tried to increase the resolution to 200 pixels/inch. That's why the file size turn out to be much bigger. So, do you think the 72 pixels/inch resoluction is enough to create nice image slideshow.

Forget your fixation with 200 pixels/inch.
What you have done is taken a pint of water and made it fill a gallon pot, it cannot do this properly it will have lots of air between the water molecules.
Your picture is 72 pixels per inch, when you make it 200 pixels per inch, you asked your software to "make up" pixels, lots and lots of them to try to make your picture this size.
Use the original pictures at 72dpi, and all will be fine.
