Rendering to DVD, sound breaking up

Post by acoffey »

When rendering to PAL DVD certain scenes have no sound, just a loud hissing noise instead. The start and end of the hissing are always on scene/chapter boundaries. It appears that at least in some cases it can be fixed by trimming a small amount off the end of the previous scene or the beginning of the scene in question.

I'm using Video Studio 8, the trial download version.

Has anyone else come across this problem?

Many thanks,

Aedan

I think a fix for this was included in the V8.01 patch, but the patch will only work with the full version of the program, not the trial version.

Thanks THoff, that sounds promising.

If anyone from ULead is reading this can they confirm this has been fixed before I go and spend money on VS8? Apart from that problem everything else is working fine and I'm happy to purchase. Is there anyway I can trial a fixed version before purchasing?

Thanks,

Aedan

Aedan,
I can't verify that your problem is fixed in the 8.01 update but I can guarantee that your version has a serious memory leak that will affect you sooner or later.
