Hi > i have a WinFast DV2000 capture Card in my computer which captures analoge TV. I have just bought a WinFast DTV1000 T capture card which only captures digital TV. Can I run both of these cards by running a TV arial cable from the TV out on the DTV1000 card to the TV arial in on the DV2000 card ?

That's not really a question related to Video Studio -- except insofar as you might want to use VS to capture from the card(s).
That being said, are you sure your new card only captures Digital TV? I originally had the DV2000 as well, but replaced it with the Winfast DTV2000H, and it plays both analogue and digital (and HD) stations... So in fact, I still only have one card.
As for capture, I find the capture software which came with both cards does a really great job, with greater flexibility and options than VS. So I use the Winfast software to capture, then open the captured mpeg-2 in VS for editing. Really great results, including in HDTV.

Thanks guys > I know it was a bit left field but I do use VS with these capture cards.

PS. The Winfast DTV2000 H will capture Analoge & Digital but the card I have bought is a Winfast DTV1000 T & only will capture Digital.

Hi Ken > as you said that you use a Winfast DTV2000H Capture Card.
Would you know how to change the bite rate when capturing a Digital TV show from the 11000 to 3000? I've searched high & low but can't find where. It just wants to capture the digital program at 11000 bit rate.
Any help would be great.
Cheers Paul

No I haven't found any such control, though I have looked *very* hard. So I just take what it gives, and re-render if I have to use a lower bitrate...

Whenever you are capturing digital video, it's best to capture the digital data as-is without attempting to alter or re-compress it on-the-fly.Would you know how to change the bite rate when capturing a Digital TV show from the 11000 to 3000?

Thanks Doug > I'm new at this Digital TV Capturing. I'm so use to Analoge & being able to change the bit rate. The rendering of digital takes alot more time & alot more DVD space.
