Hello,
I have a pc with Windows XP SR-2, and I cannot remove PI XL not matter what I try. I have done the add/remove programs route and also inserting the program cd, with no luck.
In either case it gets to the part of doing the uninstall, looks like it's working and it sits for hours if I let it and nothing.
I am asking for any assistance please, for getting this program off the pc, as it's no longer supported and I just purchased PI 12.
Any assistance that you can provide me will be greatly appreciated!!
Regards,
David
Unable to uninstall PhotoImpact XL
There might be a conflick within the shared components of PhotoImpact 11 and PhotoImpact 12.
Try uninstalling first PhotoImpact 12, before uninstalling PhotoImpact 11.
If it still won't uninstall, I suggest you use this third party utility program (20 day evaluation): http://www.winappslist.com/utilities/uninstaller.htm

Something must have gone astray with your installation. Try installing PI XL again. If you have the program CD as your post implies you should get a "Repair" option. Once repaired, try uninstalling again.
On a different note. Why do you want to uninstall it? Some people I know, including myself, have several versions of the program installed side by side. Each and every version has it's own way of doing certain things and sometimes the older version is easier to use for things you know than the new one. If you are not short on disk space, why not leave it on?
