Capturing Pal-60 with an ATI AIW

Since I do all my 'capturing' using a Canopus ADVC, I have not had need to use a capture card.

However, I do own a few NTSC videos and would prefer to transfer these to DVD. The canopus does not handle Pal-60.

I did read elsewhere that the AIW's can handle Pal-60 and I just purchased a '2006' model as this apparently had the correct chips.

Unfortunatley, it does not work. The picture, although in colour, is very distorted.

Does anyone know a 'fix' for this without resorting to more hardware. I have all the latest drivers.
