More then one audio track

Post by Elematt »

Hi guys, I need to create a DVD with normal audio, but also as a special feature I want to include another track of audio (like director's commentary).

I have tried to do this with DVDMF5+ but I don't think you can, can you?

Current versions of MovieFactory (up to version 6 Plus) do not allow for multiple separate audio tracks per Title. Ulead/Corel offers DVD Workshop 2.x (Full or Express) that allows multiple audio tracks per Title.

Hi George.

Thanks, I may have to look into that.

If I wanted to only have one video file, but 2 audio streams for the video file - do those programs allow you to create an option in the DVD menu where you can choose which stream you want to listen/watch?

I'd be cautious about buying Workshop. It's getting old, has not been updated fo awhile (i.e. There is no Vista version or patch), and it's kind-of hidden on the website.

So, we suspect it is in danger of being discontinued.

Maybe so but DVDWS2 still remains my number one choice DVD authoring program. If they stop selling it it will not stop mine from working albeit that there are items that could do with bringing up to date such as 16.9.

So far I haven't found any of the limitations due to lack of a service pack a hindrance. True that bringing it more up to date will make it even more powerful than it already is.
