I searched through all the forums, applied all the patches, completely cleaned the install, and reinstalled, yet every time I click the burn tab, my computer will reboot... every time. Any ideas on how to fix?
WinXP, dual opterons, 3 gigs ram, 120 gigs free on HD.

Reboot crash when clicking on the burn tab

Thanks SJJ,
The burner works fine with my other app - roxio creator classic.
I cannot even burn to a folder because the system does a reboot every time I click the burn tab... and I did try different DVD media in the burner, still no change in the reboot.
I also saw your topic of making an 'editing' profile, but I am not inclined to go through so much effort to use a program that should work right out of the box... as all of the other software I have does.
Thanks for the help.

Do you have your Roxio "packet writing" utility disabled? They seem to hi-jack the burners, and not release them to other programs. This might be causing your crash. However it is more common for the program, like Ulead's to not see that you have a burner installed.
Try disabling Roxio's packet-writing utility. It allows your DVD to be used like another Hard drive.
