You could always try reinstalling VS10. In reinstalling VS7 SE, you probably overwrote common files updated by VS10 with the original VS7 ones. Reinstalling VS10 might then restore these common files and, hopefully, leave alone the one which allowed VS10 to actually capture from the device (i.e. 'borrowed' from VS7 SE).
