No Audio being Captured PLEASE HELP

Im using Ulead Video Studio 11

I'm trying to capture my videos through VideoXpress ( http://www.adstech.co.uk/shop/item.asp?itemid=15 )

When i click the option and select 'Video Properties', then Audio input source all thats availble for selection is 'CD Player'

Also... i get no preview of the video im trying to capture until i press the capture button... which is a nightmare

Format is PAL

You are trying to capture analog? Apparently there is a bug in v11 when trying to capture analog. See http://phpbb.ulead.com.tw/EN/viewtopic. ... ht=#125871.

When using an analog capture device it is recommended to use the software that comes with the device. Once your files are captured you can import them into VS.

yeah, thats what i was doin at first but when capturing to AVI the file sizes where far far far too big. it was working out to be about 500 meg for only a 30 second clip

When capturing to MPG the audio was out of sync, this is why i decided to try Video Studio

Any suggestions?

Sounds like you were capturing uncompressed AVI. Try capturing DV-AVI, which is around 13GB per hour.
