PLEASE HELP!!!! (trimming)

Post by jarekhanzelka »

Hi everybody. I have one small dumb question. I import 70 minutes long video into my Ulead VidStudio, and I'm trying to cut off few last seconds. I do so, but I don't know, how to save those seconds I cut off. And either how to save reamaning 69 minutes a few seconds of the video. I know, I'm complete noob, but I really would use your help. Thanks.

I can't give you step-by-step instructions right now... I don't have Video Studio on this computer.

If you don't have a user manual, download one. Read the EDIT section.

With digital editing ("non-linear editing") your original file does not get edited... a new-edited copy is created. So, you can save the first 69 minutes in one file, and then start over and save the last minute in another file.

Essentially, you make your cut, then highlight the first 69 minute segment. Then go to Clip > Save Trimmed Video. A new file of the 69 minutes will now appear in the library pane. Do the same thing with the second segment.

You will now have three files: the original, and the first and second segments.

Trimmed video

I got little problem with this. When I try to save highlighted piece as trimmed video, it says something about invalid parameter...the video is in AVI format...

I think you have to duplicate the video. You will then take the "seconds" from the duplicated video and the "minutes" from the first video -- still using the multitrim function.
