For this example we'll use the Video library, but you can also do this for the Image, Audio and Title libraries.
1. Click on the Edit tab. From the Gallery drop-down menu choose Video.
2. Click on the Library Manager button. The Library Manager box appears. Make sure Video is the selected in the Available Custom Folders drop-down.
3. Click New and type a name for your new Custom Video Library Folder. For this example I will type Vacation. Enter a description if you like. Click OK. Click Close.
4. Now from the Gallery drop-down menu choose Video--Vacation. Doing so will give you an empty library.
5. Now click the Capture tab and, with the Video--Vacation library still open, capture clips from your camcorder. They will be placed in the Video--Vacation library.
For clips you have already captured that are in the main Video library, you can Copy & Paste them to the Video--Vacation library.
I'm not sure how many Custom Library Folders you can make, but I just finished a baseball DVD for my son's team and to keep things sorted I created a folder for every game. I had close to 40 of them.
When you are finished with your project you can easily do some housekeeping by deleting your custom library folders via the Library Manager. This, of course, will only delete the thumbnails. To delete the actual files you would first have to Shift+Delete the thumbnails, then delete the folders.
Hope this clears things up.
