Any help would be great!
I placed a large number of images on the image clipboard that took a long time to load into the program. I subsequently placed and edited a few hundred MB of video and successfully edited it on the timeline. When I went back to the images clipboard to drag some of the still images in among the previously edited video, when I clicked on the first image the program stalled and began not responding. If I go out of the image clipboard and baack to video things seem to run smoothly. When I try to delete any of the still images from the clipboard it takes a very long time. I most recently highlighted all the images on the image clipboard and hit delete and the program goes into not responding mode and doesn't seem to come out.
I have saved the project and tried to open a new copy of the program, but it always tries to make the link with the images and subsequently goes into not responding mode.....
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It would be easier if you will fill your system configuration information. Since you can run the software I suspect that you're met the minimum system requirements.
Also try to purge/delete all the files in these folders: "C:\Windows\Temp" "C:\Documents and Settings\[User Name]\Local Settings\Temp" (for WinXP). It is safe to delete all contents of these folders. However, leave any files you can¡¦t delete for now.
Increasing your Virtual memory might also help.

What is "a large number of images"?
Perhaps you have a corrupt image in the bunch.
