Hi Guys
Sorry if I'm being very slow here (and I've seen some good explanations for the technically minded) but my output is DVD to be played on TV: do I need to check the Non-Square PR box?
Also Something I've just noticed, my project settings are: Microsoft AVI files, Lower Field First, etc, yet my preferences are frames based and source frame size. Should I modify my preferences to match the project settings? (Should I check save image de-interlace as well?)
Lastly, there's a setting for scrubbing A/V ratio (set to 13) and underneath it gives two options to append to project as a virtual clip or as part of the current project: what does this do? (At the moment it's default is virtual clip.)

Thanks & regards.

Quoted from the help file...
"Perform non-square pixel rendering performs non-square pixel rendering when previewing your video. Non-square pixel support helps avoid distortion and keeps the real resolution of DV and MPEG2 content. Generally, the square pixel is suited for the aspect ratio of computer monitors while the non-square pixel is best used for viewing on a TV screen. Remember to take into account which medium will be your primary mode of display. "
As for the DV settings, your options should ALWAYS match what you are editing. I'd experiment and find the best results, then write those results down. (sometimes you can "bend" the rules a little bit)
