Seem like there have some problem when i add a "avi" file to VideoStudio
it said this file is not accessible and saying "THese files cannot added to this project. These files may be of unknown file format, the computer does not have enough memory or the file is copyright protected."
So Strange, I tried VS9, it works fine, but for VS11+ i can't even add it to my project, i need to use a 3rd party s/w to encode it to wmv format and edit it again...
Anyone know how to solve this problem?

The only thing I can suggest is to try a third party conversion program like SUPER to get it into maybe MPEG1 and use VS then to handle it.
However, that fact that VS11 gave you a copyright error and the fact that you downloaded it off the net indicates it may have some sort of protection that VS9 did not recognise but the later VS11 does. it may be that the file has been posted on the net for viewing but it may not be ok to try to copy and or edit it.
Anyway, I don't want to get into a discussion on Taiwan copyright law here. Try to convert it and see if VS can handle it.
