I took an AVI video with my digital camera, inserted the video into Video Studio 11. Went to the Video Filters and applied AutoTone and DeSnow. Preview window looks great. When I go to the Share tab Project highlights below the preview window instead of Clip, when I Share the video using any format mp4, mpg etc.. the video is shared without my video filters in place. While on the share tab the preview reflects this as well. Clicking on the word Clip below the preview menu takes me to the EDIT tab where my filters work in the preview.
How in the world can I export my video with the filters applied?

I've been unable to replicate this.
First when you go to the Share step, VS should be in Project mode. In this step you are preparing to render your project into a video file.
Next when you're in the Share step, you're not able to see the Attributes panel, which is only accessible while having a clip selected in Clip Mode. So how are you determining that your video filters are not being applied? Is the filter so obvious?
To make sure that the filters are being applied, I used the Lens Flare filter, and it was applied in the rendered video file.

Video filter & share
Yes the Auto Tone is very obvious since there was a redish color cast in the entire video that Auto Tone removed perfectly... I will try again, thanks for the reply.

Ok, I think we need to drop back and look at something different. So to do that, Please read this post, and return with as much of the information as possible.

How are you getting the video into your PC? Firewire, Capture Card, USB, or other Capture Device?
What is the make/model of your Digital Camera? Is it a digital camcorder or digital still camera?
Right-click on a video clip inside of VS, select properties and post them back here.
AVI is a container, and not a format, except for the raw uncompressed, file, that takes about 1 gig per minute of video. AVI can hold DivX, Xvid, MOV, and MPEG4, all of which are very highly compressed, and not meant to be edited.

More info
Video was taken with a Still Digital Camera.
Compression MJPEG 24 bits 640x480 8,755 frames, audio PCM 11khz 8bit mono. I copied the video from the memory card to my hard drive, then in VS 11 did File, Insert Video to time line, insert video. Selected the AVI I just copied to my hard drive. Dragged the DeSnow Filter to the video time line, then in color correction checked off Auto Tone. When played in the preview window the video filters do an incredible job.
When I go from Edit to Share tab, the Word Clip becomes a normal font and Project become highlighted with an outline. I noticed that when I play the video in VS11 preview if I click on Project the video plays as recorded, but clicking on Clip plays the video with the filters applied.
Output settings on the Share tab seem to have no effect, I tried MPEG 4 Zune, WMV 640x480, and DVD NTSC MPEG2..
The outputted file is created without the filters applied each time.
thanks
