I have a brand new computer... only a few days old. I tried installed VideoStudio 11 trial and to my dismay it does not work. I figured there was an error in the installation process and uninstalled it... restarted the computer and installed again. No luck. I am running windows vista. I click on the videostudio icon in my start menu, i get the confirmation asking me if I want to run the program. I click yes, the timer comes on for maybe two seconds and then it is as if the program just gives up and doesnt even try to startup. What is the problem? I did the "right click" on the icon and choose to run the program under windows XP service pack 2... no luck. I checked administrator and user settings but there seems to be nothing wrong. I checked the windows logs to see if any errors were recorded-- nothing seems to be displayed.
I have started task manager and have watched the
"processes" section as I attempt to start up the videostudio 11 program. Nothing is displayed. I have successfully gotten Videostudio to be displayed on my task manager once. But this was for only a split second. It was more of a flash onto the window-- there one minute, gone the next. what in the world do I need to do to make this program work? i have emailed ulead/corel about the problem, in search of answer, but have yet to hear back from them either...

Daniel,
Multiple posting can cause a problem where we end up replying to you several times and then it all gets confusing because you end up with different replies in different posts from different users.
Firstly:
Please click here -->
so that we can then view your system specifications.
Next:
I don't intend to plough through the half dozen or so posts you have "replied" to to try and establish what you have attempted so far and what advice has been given. My time is too precious for that.
Lets start with the Clean Re-installation Procedure If you find difficulty following it then click this link and complete the relevant drop down boxes:
Corel Support
If after doing this it still fails to launch then it is possible that
1. You may have a faulty download.
2. If you bought it on disc, the disc or your disc drive might be faulty
3. You may have a problem with your computer.

Please do not double post. Steve has just said the same thing to another poster, and you follow that immediately with a double post of your own.
