Shrinking video

I have created a short clip with a full size 16:9 widescreen avi background with a Dalek 3ds model superimposed which chases the subject in the avi bacground.When I use "create a video file" I use the following settings.Microsoft AVI files
24bits 720x576 1:1 25fps
Field order A
Uncompressed
No audio.

Why do I finish up getting a 720x576 video that does not fill the screen?
The new video is about half size whereas the original AVI was full screen.

Please ignore the above as I have now dicovered that all my settings were wrong.
