Hopefully someone can help a new user...I applied a menu template to my new slideshow, it showed up when I previewed the slideshow on my pc but when I viewed the DVD on the TV all that appeared was my pictures in a full screen format. I thought it would be similar to powerpoint where the template shows up no matter where you play it. Perhaps I have my settings wrong.

The template you refers to is only for the DVD menu. For the slideshow pictures, you need to add the decorations when you create the slideshow album.
In the Add Slideshow dialog of DVD MovieFactory, select the picture you wish to add some decorations on it and click on Decorate and then click on the Prop tab.
Or you can do it in Ulead DVD PictureShow. It can do as you described.
