some questions about Resample quality option in MF6.

Post by jc200 »

I had some question about "Resample quality" option in MF6 Plus.
I searched in forum but I still had some question.

1. Resample quality had effect on video preview window or final render video or both of them?
2. I edit my video with Resample quality setting at "good". Can I improve my video quality by switch to "best" just before final render my video?
3. Video in question 2 had same quality as video that edit with Resample quality set to "Best" before import video or not?

My English is bad so I'm sorry.

From the user manual:
- Resample quality. Specify the quality for all clips. A higher quality results in better video but takes longer time to render. Choose Best if you are preparing for final output. Choose Good for faster operation.
The setting should not affect import at all. In general, digital video is not altered when you import it. (Analog capture quality is affected by the capture settings.)

NOTE- If you happen to be working with DVD-compatible MPEGs, you may be able to completely avoid resampling (re-rendering). In that case, check the box on the burn screen that says Do Not Convert Compliant MPEGs.
