How do I change the save directory?

Post by dpyle »

I've been using VideoStudio 10+ for the editing of medical procdure technique clips by the faculty at the school which I am attending. This computer is connected to a network, but the software is only used on this computer. The trouble that I'm having is that if I edit a clip with image and voice-over for a professor and log-off, when he comes-over to review it, it won't access the images and voice-overs when he logs-on, because those are saved to "My Documents" on my name. I have changed the "working folder" under preferences to an all-accessable directory on the C-Drive, but only the video clips are going there.

Is there any way that I can change the save directory for the images, voice-overs, and text-overs to simply a directory on the C-Drive that anyone can access?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi

What method are you using to view the work?
If you are using Windows Media Player or similar,
Then you may be best to render your project to one video file .

(Share Create Video File.)
This will combine all clips to one file that the professor can view.

Using Video Studio:-
Image files and audio files can be saved anywhere on your pc.
Text/ Titles are a different matter being part of the VS software/program.

If you save your images and voice-overs to the ¡¥all-accessible directory¡¦
Then edit the project in VS, all clips used will be linked to this directory.
They should be viewable by any-one using Video Studio.

To identify the image/audio clip save location, right click a clip in the library or timeline and select properties.
The file name indicates the save location.
