What's supposed to be on the dvd?
Can you see files in explorer?
How was the disc made?
Was it finalised if it needed to be?
Does it play in a dvd player/pc?

The finalising, do you mean you didn't finalise it, or that you don't need to?

Do you have another app you can try importing it into?
Does MF import other dvds ok?
How about if you record to a -R and not an RW

For some reason MF (any version) does this depending on the dvd reader/writer you have installed, don't know why.

Workaround, map the dvd reader (share it).
Map your shared dvd reader back to your pc via a drive letter.
Use the Import feature & select 'Import dvd folder", naviagate to the mapped dvd drive you assigned above.

Command line can also be used
Net share dvd=E:\ (Drive letter of your dvd reader)
Net use t: \\your computer name\dvd ( T: Being the new mapped drive letter)

Or, copy the complete contents of the dvd to your local harddisk and import from the harddisk folders (make sure to copy the complete directories, in other words create a copy/image the dvd on your harddisk).

Are you still accessing the dvd readers drive directly via it's windows assigned driver letter or are you re-mappoing it as I suggested?
you can't access the drive directly when this error shows up.
The pioneers so write information on the dvd which is a new copy protection scheme.

I don't understand how to re-mapping: "Command line can also be used
Net share dvd=E:\ (Drive letter of your dvd reader)" where ? how ?

I just try copy and past the VR_MOVIE.VRO on my hard drive but i don't see it then on "add video files"

You need to copy the whole DVD_RTAV directory, I think it's the DVD_RTAV directory. The importing program looks for this directory name when importin -VR disks.

If you already have the VRO file on your harddisk then also copy the other files.
The directory you select when importing is DVD_RTAV directory, after highlighing this directory then the OK/Import button should be activated.

The copied dvd-rw disk written in -VR mode should look like this on your harddisk, an image of the dvd-rw dvd after copying the complete dvd to your harddisk. Then when importing select the DVD_RTAV folder. If it works you will be displayed with a list of the movies to extract. Select the movie by putting a check mark in the box and then clicking on import. The videos will be extracted to a folder called "Capture" which resides under your assigned "Working Folder" that you have setup in MF under "Preferences" (F6 Hotkey).

C:\DVD_RTAV -\
----------------\ VR_MANGR.BUP
----------------\ VR_MANGR.IFO
----------------\ VR_MOVIE.VRO

That's what i've done, after copying all file on my hard drive, MF6 don't see any file to open, so i select "all files", i select the VR_MOVIE.VRO or VR_MANGR.IFO and i get this new error message

Start a new project, click on the top right icon. This is the Import Dvd Icon.
After you click on this Import dvd icon another box will appear:
Click on the import dvd folder, naviagate to the DVD_RTAV folder you had previous copied as per the instructions, highlight the DVD_RTAV folder and select OK. MF will parse the DVD and then display a list of titles on the dvd.
Check the box of the title you want to import and select the import button.

If you using the correct module you cannot insert a file, the program can only select directories.

That way it work, so i'll have to copy and paste (15min) and import in MF6 like you say (15min) each time i want to use a DVD-RW ? DVD-RW is not really compatible with MF6 so ?
