Rendering / capturing with VS 11

Post by scannavision »

Hi, I have recently upgraded to VS v11 and am encountering a few probelms. Can anybody please help with the following.......

Rendering:

when all video has been edited and text inserted etc etc i go to share - create video file and then mpeg 2 and save then the program doesnt respond. I end up having to shut down and restart and when i go through it all again this time it works. This happens everytime.

Capturing:

I use a Sony FX1E with Fire Wire. When i have captured in the past using V10 i have had no problems. Now with V11 i go through the same routine however this time i get an error message saying "cannot start the capture graph" I am capturing in SD not HD. I have contacted Ulead support and have not really solved anything. Can anybody please help.

Thanks :D

Since you are having problems when you capture using VS, try using the free DV capture utility WinDV. I use it a lot, and it does a good job. It only allows capturing the DV format. Once you have your video on your PC, you can then insert them into VS11.

Are your chipset drivers (if on board) or your firewire drivers (if descrete board) up to date?

Go to the manufacturer's website and download the drivers for your specific model.
