Separating files using DMF 3 or VideoStudio 7 SE??

I am using MovieFactory 3. I want to capture my 2 hour analog tapes, as 1 file. Then I want to separate the captured file into multiple files. Can this be done with DMF 3? If so, how? If not, can I use VideoStudio 7 SE to do this?
I appreciate any help I can get.

Yes this can be done in Video Studio 7 SE. On the edit screen click on the Extract Video button and and set your start and end points to where you want them. Then click on the Save Trimmed Video button to save what you just trimmed. Repeat for each section of video you want to seperate.

Merlin, does Video studio 7 SE save the separated segments on the hard drive as separate files? Thanks for the info, I will try it out very soon.

Yes the seperated segments will be saved to the hard drive.
