Putting more than one slideshow on DVD

Post by James Bishop »

I just purchased Ulead PictureShow 4. I can make slideshows but I can't put more than one slideshow on a single DVD. The User's Guide and the Help function (which is just a repeat of the User's Guide) are no help. Can anyone tell me how to put more than one slideshow on a single DVD?

That sounds like a legitimate expectation to me as well. Probably because that's exactly what I want to do :? So, if it's not possible, would someone in the know just tell us so we can get on with our lives.
Or, and here's a new thought for me . . . does the split function allow us to add several hundred slides and then break them up into multiple slide selection on the DVD? Inquiring minds want to know, please!

One dps with multiple slideshows

Post by melkisadek »

This is addressed to those, especially, who want to put multiple slideshows on a single DVD and who are willing to put some effort into finding an answer to the question that's been asked multiple times with little response here. I'm willing to assume that no one knew the answer until now :P I talked to Corel tech support and was assured that it couldn't be done nor was there another product in the lineup that would allow the combining of a number of dps's. We continued the conversation from there and investigated the "split slideshow" option under organize. It seems that when splitting you can give the split a new name. Then you can split that slideshow and give it a new name. Eventually these sub-dps's (if you will) will show up as thumbnails under THEME-SLIDESHOWS and you can click on them to view the "sub" slideshow of your choice.
Now that's as far as I've gotten. I know I may run into number limits someplace (undocumented as far as i can tell). I haven't burnt a dvd to see how it will play on a commercial dvd player. I would very much appreciate hearing (learning) from anyone who takes this route and get new info (whatever the outcome).

Thanks to all who've contributed their questions and answers . . .
Later,
Al Fitz
