Mark, I think you are missing one important point when asking for help here. This is a user supported board, not a company supported board. We don't work for InterVideo/Ulead, we just have experience (at varying levels) with the products.

You are going to need to share more information. You say that you are capturing from video tapes, what is the capture card that you are using?

If what you mean by 'video tapes' is analogue VHS tapes, then I am afraid that VS11 has a certified bug which prevents any capture from analogue sources and analogue source material. For some silly reason, Corel/InterVideo, after they took over Ulead last year, decided to change the various capture plug-ins that had worked in previous versions of Video Studio. They substituted a single InterVideo capture module, which apparently cannot deal with analogue. Whether this aspect was tested or not before release, I have no idea, though I *do* have some suspicions!! I am another unhappy camper in this regard, though luckily, in my case, I have VS10+ on another XP computer which works just fine capturing analogue material.

We understand that Corel is working on a patch for VS11 which should correct this and other problems. But we don't know when it will appear. Hopefully soon.

Apologies I thought it was part of Ulead as I followed a link from their technical support page

Anyone got a technical support email to Uleaded please as I can not find one
