I've just purchased Videostudio 11 Plus.
When I try to import a DVD or DVD folder (Home Video Disc's) VS 11 starts to import but then closes down with no warning. I was able to import these discs into VS8 and MovieFactory versions 3 & 5 before I installed VS11 but I'm now no longer able to import DVD-VR or DVD folders in any one of the programs. If I uninstall VS11 I'm then able to import DVD-VR and DVD folders in the other programs as normal (VS8, MF3 MF5). I'm using XP Home 1 gig ram
AMD Athlon XP 1.9 ghz. Any ideas?

VideoStudeo 11 Plus Import DVD-VR closes down program
Thanks for your reply Kenneth, that's done the trick, I can now import my DVD discs and folders into VS11+, Now lets hope that Ulead post an official fix for this bug.
Thanks again.

No fix for me...
I can import normal DVDs but trying to do this for AVCHD files on my Sony HDR-SR7E HDD camcorder and VS11+ instantly crashes with no warnings or error messages. This happens on my desktop; on my laptop it simply freezes at the "Parsing..." dialogue box with 50% CPU activity and nothing can be done until the program is forced to close. I've set proxy caching up but no joy. The only H264*.* files on both machines are the correct ones. Any suggestions?

Re: Avchd files Hdd Cam + vs11+
I have searched and read everything I can find. I have come to a dead end. Other users have reported this problem and I have tried all the suggestions to date short of reformatting the camcorder's HD because it has 20 GB of very precious video on it and I do not want to lose it - however, I may have to try that soon, but a corrupt index file would seem to me to be very unlikely as the camcorder is only 3 weeks old. Also, when I had a tiny test file on it the UVS11+ import worked. With no change to the software or PC and with 20 GB now it doesn't. I have read and re-read all I can find here on the subject and learned a lot about AVCHD and now I am upset with myself for understanding Ulead's adverts that stated the software was AVCHD compatible to mean I would be able to import AVCHD, edit it and export it losslessly as AVCHD with DD5.1. Silly me - I was obviously naive - I should know better having used PCs for nearly 20 years.Kenneth Veal wrote:I am sure this issue has been delt with previously, try doing a forum search
So - I'm at my wit's end. I have enough HD space and RAM on the PC, smart proxy is set up, the PC is powerful enough, I have not installed anything else since upgrading from UVS9 to UVS11+ (specifically DVD Movie Factory), my H264*.* files are OK, the Sony software reads, imports and displays the videos fine (and via HMDI they look awesome on the TV!). I cannot get past the "parsing" dialogue, so many of the threads on this forum are irrelevant to my problem anyway. I can find no error messages in Event Viewer, no relevant log files, and it's all a fresh clean install.
If anyone has any suggestions I would really appreciate it.
